Materials & Sustainability

At Kaizen Collective Apparel, we're committed to making thoughtful choices in design, in materials, and in impact. Each drop is crafted with care, and we aim to balance style, comfort, and sustainability in everything we release.

This Drop: 100% Cotton

For our current collection, we use 100% cotton, no blends, no fillers.

Cotton is:

- Breathable and soft — designed for everyday wear and movement

- Biodegradable — breaks down naturally over time

- Timeless — no synthetic blends, just clean, quality fabric

We chose cotton because it reflects our values: simplicity, sustainability, and authenticity.

Please Note: Because we use 100% cotton, some shrinkage (about 1–2 cm) may occur after washing. For best results and to maintain sizing, we recommend hang drying your garments instead of machine drying.

Future collections may explore other premium materials, but we will always prioritize quality, transparency, and The Art of Improvement.

Our Packaging: Plant-Based & Minimal

We’re intentional about how we package your orders.

Our product bags use PLA (Polylactic Acid), a plant-based bioplastic made from renewable resources like corn starch.

What makes PLA different?

- 🌱 Renewable: Made from plants, not petroleum.

- 🌎 Low-carbon: Produces fewer greenhouse gases during production than traditional plastics.

- ✅ Compostable (under the right conditions)

⚠️ Our PLA packaging is 100% compostable in industrial composting facilities where high heat and moisture help it break down fully into water, carbon dioxide, and organic matter. However, PLA is not home compostable and won’t degrade in regular trash or marine environments.

We encourage you to dispose of it properly through certified composting programs whenever possible. Let’s work together for a cleaner future 🌿

Shipping Boxes: 100% Recycled Cardboard

Your order arrives in boxes made from 100% recycled cardboard, which is strong, sustainable, and curbside recyclable.

- Made entirely from recycled materials

- Fully biodegradable and curbside recyclable

- Strong enough to protect your items without the need for plastic

We intentionally avoid using plastic bubble wrap or poly mailers because we believe in reducing single-use plastics wherever possible. Instead, we keep our packaging minimal and low-impact, using only what’s necessary to get your order to you safely and sustainably.
